In Basilisk II, use the high color mode. For SheepShaver, you need to update to Mac OS 7.5.3 instead via Mac OS 7.5 Update 2.0.

Restore Disk images for the PowerMac 5500 and 6500 Series Macintosh. The 7.5.5 and 8.0 disks are System & Application restore disks. The 2nd DL is a bootable install disk of System 7.6.1

Curiously, these archives all have ".001" part file numbers. They are not part files. These part file numbers can be removed from the file name (back to .zip) once downloaded.
If expanding or using these images on their intended classic Mac OS platform, you may need to shorten their file names further.

As the name says, beta version of an OS which should later become MacOS 8.5.
This CDR image only contains the installer and is not bootable.
The beta may be installed with SheepShaver using the OldWorldROM.
Expand the CDR and add it to the SheepShaver volumes list.
I did use a blank HFS Standard image from 8.6 and unchecked "update HDD drivers" in the installer.
At first boot, Assistants to set up your Mac pop up. Do quit them to be on the safe side.
The provided Quicktime build is time limited, so best set your host´s time to some day in early 1997.

OS9 Helper allows you to install 9.2.1 or 9.2.2 on certain "Old World" Macs that Apple has decided to drop support for. OS 9.1 is the final version that Apple allows to install on anything previous to the Beige G3.
