This is the latest release of Macintosh system software, with a new Installer that lets you install
System 7 software over the network. This means that you can upgrade every Macintosh within a large organization from a file server established as an upgrade station-it's no longer necessary to carry a set of disks to every computer.

Ever wanted to run older versions of OS X on modern, faster processors? It should be possible—at some point around 2015, "Bronya" compiled custom 10.9.5 and 10.6.8 XNU kernels with support for AMD Ryzen CPUs. In theory, you should be able to use these kernels to build a Mavericks or Snow Leopard Hackintosh around a modern Ryzen processor. (You will still need a natively-compatible graphics card.)
This is a package I've put together to simplify bringing a fresh Tiger installation up to date. It should be equivalent to running Software Update on a fresh install. If there are any issues, please let me know. (TheLazurus on the forum, Lazurus on the Discord)

There are many versions of System 7. This is the Golden Master CD of version 7.1. It contains many extras like Development Tools, Sample Code, Utilities and Documentation.
Original System 7.5.2 install disk set for the Power Macintosh 7200/75
DL #1: Install set consists of DiskDup+ ".dsk" floppy disk images in a ".zip" archive (Italian language).
DL #2 Utilities (Disk Tools) disk with patched "HD SC Setup" and "Drive Setup" for formatting and updating drivers on non-Apple hard drives for use with the PM 7200/75 (Italian)

QuickTime 7 had become a significant section of OS X as a whole, tying together new hardware features like CoreImage and CoreVideo for apps to utilize, as well as critically compositing the Desktop screen. For the best possible OS X software combination (e.g. optimized for gaming, or using 3rd party video playback such as VLC et.al. instead of QuickTime Player), it became weighted that one would test out which of the QuickTime versions suites you best. Also note, Apple instituted a major change in CoreVideo behavior from OS X 10.5.5 (& before) going into 10.5.6 & up.

These are the known QT 6 versions that work with OS X 10.3 Panther. One download conveniently has six installers of versions 6.4.0 , 6.5.0.28 , 6.5.0.29 , 6.5.1 , 6.5.2 and a 6.5.2 "reinstaller" that changes QuickTime v7.0.1 in OS X 10.3.9 back to being 6.5.2
This is a Mac OS 9.2.2 boot file (aka Mac OS ROM, type "tbxi") that can be used to boot the iBook G4 series into 9.2.2. This Mac model was never officially capable of this, but of course someone at MacOS9Lives will always find a way. Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
