These are the installation discs for Mac OS X 10.3.3 (disc 1) and the bundled software (disc 2).
Compatibility:
Disc 1 is compatible with every Mac supported by Mac OS X 10.3 Panther:
- PowerPC G3, G4 or G5 with at least 233 MHz
- Built-in USB
- At least 128 MB of RAM, 256 MB or more recommended.
- At least 1.5 GB of available hard disk space.
- DVD drive (due to the disc being a DVD), when installed from optical media.
It is possible to restore the disc 1 image 691-4909-A.dmg to an external FireWire drive and install Mac OS X Panther from it, without an optical drive or without a DVD drive.
For software restore from disc 2 the actual eMac with Model ID PowerMac6,4 is required, i.e. software restore should also work on the eMac 2005 model with 1.42 GHz since it has the same Model ID.
